RHEMA FOR LIVING
OFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE,
DR. MRS LIZZY JOHNSON SULEMAN
TODAY’S READING: Romans 12:1-21
FURTHER READING: EPHESIANS 1:7
TOPIC: THE REALITY OF REDEMPTION.
TEXT: Colossians 1:14 (KJV) “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”
To know that we’ve been redeemed is one thing and to walk in the realities of that redemption is quite another. So many believers verbally proffer their redemption in Christ by His blood, but defiant in the practical living of the realities of their redemption in Christ Jesus. So many confess redemption with their month but admit bondage in the mind.
The apostle Peter in his epistle makes us know how to live in the realities of our redemption in Christ. He said: “for as much then as Christ has suffered for in flesh, aim likewise with the same mind; for he that suffered in the flesh hath cease from sin.” There is a path way to walk in. For instance, health to the full is included in the redemption package of Christ, why are Christian still sick? This is because they have got to learn to be strong in the Lord and in the word of his grace, for therein lies eternal life John 5:39. Our life depends on knowing God’s opinion for our lives. It is only by definite and a calmly realisation of the truth as contained in God’s word shall we live a life that is absolutely fulfilling; otherwise we will be a contradiction of what Jesus died for. I pray for you, that shall not be your portion. Every package of redemption shall be revealed in your life.
PRAYER
My Father, My Father, by your grace, helps me to work in the reality of my redemption in Christ Jesus…
